Every brand decision was rooted in research — the culture, the landscape, and the audience who would use this platform to discover Konkan.
We began with stakeholder interviews and a deep-dive into the Konkan tourism landscape. We mapped existing competitors — from MakeMyTrip to regional guesthouses — and identified the whitespace: a platform that felt local, curated, and coastal, not corporate.
Over 40+ logo sketches across three directions: abstract coastal forms, typographic marks, and hybrid nature-letter symbols. We narrowed to the K-leaf concept after testing with target users — it scored highest on memorability and trust.
Finalized the logo in all variants, locked down the colour system and typography pairing, and built a brand guidelines document covering every application — from digital banners to physical merchandise.
User journeys mapped for five core tasks: find a stay, discover eats, book a group trip, explore a coastal route, and hire a cab. Wire-framing in Figma, then high-fidelity prototypes — mobile-first, tested with 20+ real users before a pixel of code was written.
The web platform was built for performance and SEO from day one. The mobile app followed the same design system. Listing management, search, filters, date-based availability, and real-time pricing — all engineered with scalability in mind.
